3 fish steaks (whitefish, halibut or ocean perch) about 1 inch thick
3 teaspoons oil or margarine
2 cups soft, whole wheat bread crumbs
1 teaspoon vegetable salt
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon thyme
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
- Oil baking pan with 3 teaspoons of oil or margarine. Salt each steak and place in pan.
Pour 1/2 tablespoon melted butter on top of each steak. Combine bread crumbs, salt, sesame seeds, thyme and remaining butter. Spread this mixture on top of steaks.
- Bake uncovered in 350º oven for about 30 minutes or until fish flakes easily.
